External HDD Caddy, which one?

Hey,

I have a 500GB internal HDD in my old computer that I figure I may as well utilse on my iMac 27" i7 so am in the market for a good external caddy.

Can anybody recomend a good / reliable one?

Sorry, just noticed. It says it can take up to a 400gb drive? Should it be ok with my 500gb?

I think you are referring to the transfer speed, drive size has makes no difference, You will be fine

I initially had a caddy with a fan and it annoyed me so much. Not only was the fan noisy anyway but after a while it started making a racket (presumably cos it was loose). I replaced it was a fanless caddy and although it gets rather hot, it's so much quieter (no noise beyond the actual HDD obviously). Definitely go fanless IMO.
