external hub

Afraid not as OcUK stock USB Hubs, albeit not ones with enough ports you're after, so can't link competitors without a telling off...

But a very quick Google search or even on the rainforest, will find you them instantly. Which is all I did :) Lol

i understand where your coming from, what do i need to look out for in a hub for it too be good./ plugged into wall/if usb three are they all back stepping?

Anker do a decent 10-port one for £33.99 if you look it up. Has 7x USB 3.0 ports and the other 3x are charging ports.

Definitely need one that comes with a power brick, or it will just be absolute trash and not work properly. The above comes with a power pack too.

Edit: There are also some decent PCI-E USB cards, most have 4-5 ports though. But would ensure proper dedicated bandwidth. Depends what sort of devices you plan to connect up?

thanks sparx was just looking at one sorted.

If you really want one that will work with anything you plug into it, including filling all 7 ports at once, then you need a powered hub, and the power supply must be able to supply enough current for all the ports at once. A lot of hubs have really weedy PSUs, so using more than one high-power device at once doesn't work, defeating the point of having a hub at all.

There are a few manufacturers who make hubs that fit that description, such as Apanage (no idea if OcUK stock those, but if not then they should).
