If you don't mind losing the requirement to brighten up on movement, I've had great success with LED bulbs with light sensors in them. Gives me the freedom to use any light fitting I want. There are no ugly sensors showing, the wife is happy that aesthetically she can buy any light she likes the look of to fit in keeping with the house (it's old so doesn't suit modern looking things) and costs buttons to have areas outside illuminated all night.
