External Media Hard Drive Questions

I have some questions I hope you guys can help me with.


1) Do these "media" hard drives that allow you to view video files through your TV also function as standard external PC hard drives on the same installation?

2) If so, are there any that transfer files via eSATA?

3) And include ability to play AAC format on a stereo also?
