Hi guys. I'm looking for an adapter to connect power and data to an external SATA drive. I've found this one, but I'd really prefer one that used a PCI style backplate.
Anyone know if something like that exists?

They certainly do exist although a quick search hasn't thrown up one which has both an eSATA port and a Molex power on the same backplate. There are plenty of separate eSATA and power backplates if you don't mind losing 2 slots.

Unfortunately anywhere that has them is a competitor so I can't name names.

Thanks for the reply.
Using two backplates isn't going to work really. The adapter is for a shuttle which only has two expansion slots in total, and I'm planning on putting a gfx card in there too. After doing some more research it seems that most external SATA housings have a power port on them anyhow, so I could always power the drives from another source. Probably not wise to overload the shuttle's PSU anyway, esp. with a gfx card in there too.
I know you can't link to external sites, but could you perhaps suggest a google search string that might lead me in the right direction?
Thanks.

I found an online shop based in america which ships to the UK, its postage is actually cheaper than some we have here. Classed as a competitor, so i cant give you the url. I know the brand name is Backy SATA Combo. Guessing thats what you are after. It has Molex out, and a 3pin fan socket and Sata on the backplate. There is loads of different types.
