A friend of mine has a 240gb ssd in a caddy which allows it to be connected via usb.. Theres a fair bit of data (photos etc on it that she wants to keep).

Unfortunately its decided to play up and not register in my computer as a drive. I can see the drive within disk management but I'm unable to assign if a drive letter so that it shows up and becomes accessible.

Anyone know of any tricks to get it back up and running and accessible again ?

Yeah tried internally connecting it also... same thing.. I have EASEUS data recovery so Kicked off a data recovery process and will back the data up to my pc and then reformat the SSD assign it a drive letter and then copy back the data.

its probably just lost the partition table or something. There are tools that will be able to fix it, but its all trial and error. So, if youre able to read teh data from it with EASEUS then that will do the job :D
