Looking at picking up an external SSD drive for lightroom storage on the move. Was thinking of the Samsung T1 250GB

From what I can see (as in a quick Google) this is the only reputable brand producing an external SSD at the minute.

Is this the case? or are there any other recommendations?

I'd buy a ~£10 USB3 case and any SSD.

I like the Orico 2.5 inch usb 3 enclosures, nicely rounded edges.

I have 30GB SSD in mine, I use it as a driver store / useful utilities drive.

I'm concerned about durability though, I'll be travelling. The T1 looks like a solid product.

I did some searching and found a speed test and was blown away at how quick it is, and the size of it...I bought one :)

Are there any caddy's that are USB3 + thunderbolt. So I can use my Mac and PC with the same storage device?

If you do get something for this, format the device as exFAT. Anything else is a pain to use on both systems.

Thank you, noted! Seagate did release something couple of years ago but it was £100+ for the caddy alone!
