Hi there, I've got a USB external HDD which is 120GB, I read online it has to be fat32 so formatted it to fat32 but the xbox 360 still doesnt find it, but the xbox finds my USB stick fine...so is it just a case that this USB external HDD is just not compatible?

And if so, can you tell me of the best option for an external device for xbox 360?

Also I saw a youtube video of a guy saying that microsoft released an update to stop people using external USB devices for hard drive space, but I find other people saying they still use their hard drives?

So if external hard drives still work, is there a popular hard drive or USB stick that everybody uses? that everybody knows that works?

Thanks in advance.

Oh, and that particular hdd is probably not compatible.
Not every one I have tried has worked on my Xbox, but they all worked on my TV though. No too sure why tbh.

Ok mate cheers.

Can you recommend a USB stick or external USB HDD that people on this forum use on their xbox 360 today, that defo works?

Thanks.

EDIT: I found a website that said "Kingston DataTraveler" would work and then I looked on OCUK website and found this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FL-056-KS&groupid=1657&catid=1908&subcat=1763 which is pretty cheap and would be perfect if it works, but do you think it would work? Not sure if I have the right model.

does anyone know of any truth in the rumour that it works if you format it for a MAC? I remember someone telling me that it recognises larger MAC HDDs for iPod compatability.
