I'm looking for an external HDD about 1TB in size which is powered by a wall plug rather than just a USB port as I want to use it for my Wii U. But almost all of them are only powered by USB. I could get a USB Y cable and plug it into two USB ports for power, but that seems a bit risky.
The only thing I have seen is HDD enclosures were you put your drive in them. I'm not against getting one, but if there were a cheaper option, I'd like to hear about it.
