Hi guys, I need a large drive for all my photography and video editing needs. Now I just wondered whether getting an external USB2 one for all of it's added convenience, would be slower than just whacking another SATA into my case? Is there much difference? My suspicion is that the USB2 would be slower, but am I underestimating it?

usb2 speeds are around 25-30mb/s

internal or esata hard drives are full speed, so up to around 110mb/s

No problem :)

It's not painfully slow if you're just using it as a backup drive, but the speed difference is noticeable
