In case you haven't done this before, I'd recommend getting some opening picks for getting the laptop base off without leaving dents in the plastic: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ifixit-opening-picks-6-pack-cm-008-if.html
What make and model is your laptop?
Omg hay fever blues making more stupid than usual, txIts in the OP's title?
Yeah the kit I got has been really useful, though it's pre-order for the next batch at overclockers which is less than ideal unless OP is willing to wait of course: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ifixit-prying-opening-tool-assortment-cm-010-if.htmlThis is a good shout, because if your F15 is anything like my A15 then they are fiddly to pry open and requires some pry tools and a bit of patience.
When the laptop is flipped over, Asus has captured one of the screws on my model (bottom RH corner), this causes the corner to lift slightly and gives you starting place with the pry tool, it still needs a bit of care though.....Unless you dont care
Oh and the ifixit tool set is a nice handy kit to own also I've got this one: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ifix...-including-screwdriver-64-bits-cm-004-if.html
But its certainly not a requirement, as all you need is a small philips.
Thanks everyone for your advice. I'll order these opening picks and this SSD from OCUK...In case you haven't done this before, I'd recommend getting some opening picks for getting the laptop base off without leaving dents in the plastic: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ifixit-opening-picks-6-pack-cm-008-if.html
If they just want extra space then they can just drop the second drive inNote that you'll also need some way to clone your existing drive to the new one.
It's hiding behind the black shield. Under the screwdriver in my pictureAh, so there is space for a second drive? I couldn't see that in the @FlyingFish's photo.
