Extract audio only from .avi

I'm after extracting a few seconds of audio from a 2 hour long .avi file, can someone recommend a program to do this.

VirtualDub will do it, it's not the easiest program to pick up but it works well.

Load the AVI, trim it to the required length then File...Save As WAV.
