extracting/printing texts from a phone

phone is a sony k610i
need to extract and keep a record of texts from the phone if possible for a colleague
any recommendations on how to do this? i think he does have a data cable somewhere
sim reader/program on pc/specialised company?

Sony Ericsson PC Suite? Haven't used it in years but a quick read says it lets you manage texts, might be an export option.
