Extremely annoying ATI 5*** series bug.......Anyone else?

If my computer is switched on before my monitor the computer will boot to windows but never send a signal to my monitor. If i switch the monitor on first it's fine.

Is this happening to anyone else?

I'm using a P6TD motherboard and Displayport..........Could either of these be to blame?

nope doesn't happen to me.... maybe it's because your using the Displayport

No i am not having that problem either so hopefully it is displayport or you have something peculiar to you .

It's neither of them, I'm running 5850 crossfire on a P6TD via display port and it works fine either way.

Fine here on DVI

Switched to DVI and the problem went away. I tried the Displayport connection on both cards in single and Xfire mode and could recreate the issue easily.

No doubt the displayport on the Dell U2410 is to blame. Another reason not to buy that monitor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
