Extremely annoying iPhone fault...

hi guys.

My iPhone recently has been very annoying. It keeps thinking that the headphones are in, when they arnt. This means when someone rings up, I have to put them on loudspeaker to hear them.

What can I do to stop this from happening?

I've only had this a couple of times and I agree, annoying.

I think the solution is either to toggle silent on and off or to actually put someone headphones in and unplug them again.

Sometimes blowing the hole works, sounds a bit gay after Reading that!

Reset it - normally fixes it.

My sound has completely stopped working now, through speaker and earphones. Can't get it to work with a reset or anything.

my sound went when I installed showtime, you haven't got that installed have you ?
Once I unistalled showtime everything sorted itself after a reset.

Ah, I installed that earlier. I'll give it a try.
