Hey all,

I am finally getting around to buying a trio of screens to hook upto my ATI 5870. My question is this? What do i need to connect them to my graphics card. I only have 2 sockets to plug into. I know i can connect upto 6 but not sure what i need to buy.

Cheers in advance
Rich

Hi Mate,

you might want to take a look at this thread, I went over some of the basics for somebody else. If you need to know anything else let me know.

Hi there,

May I ask what make and model of monitors you have? Are they the ASUS VH226 mentioned in your sig?

Assuming the monitors use have a DVI input then you should connect two up to the DVI connections on the graphics card. For the 3rd monitor, you need to use the Displayport output on the card - then convert to a DVI signal using an active adapter like this.

Yeah like the guy above said you can use any of the dvi or hdmi ports for 2 screens then the third has to be connected via the displayport
