I'm currently running a ATI 4850 which was an emergency replacement for my blown up 8800GTX, and now it's starting to really struggle with the latest games. Also my Dell 2407 is overheating regularly, so is due for replacement shortly as well.
If I was looking at an Eyefinity set up with 3 monitors, will the 5870 Vapor-X give me enough grunt for decent frame rates at max resolution or would I have to be pushing the boat out and go for the 5970?
I'm a bit torn on this one, but if I could get a decently running set up for around £750 I'd probably go for it, but if I can't deliver a decent performance I'd probably leave it for a while.
I was thinking something like 3x BenQ G2222HDL and a 5870, but if it's not going to be any good, i can just get a new grfx card, and buy a new deskfan to keep my Dell cool enough to run for a while
Can't seem to find much information anywhere about performance of Eyefinity, so want to see if anyone can give me any more info before I lay out the cash. Any advice appreciated. Cheers.
