Hi all,

I hvae purchased a MSI 270X OC 4gb and OCUK's Eyefinity Asus monitor bundle:

Im now looking at the best way to connect them.
so the GPU has 2x DVI + 1x DP + 1x HDMI outputs
and the Monitors have 2x HDMI & 1x D-Sub (DVI-D Supported via HDMI-to-DVI cable) (Am i right in thinking that D-sub is VGA?)

research has told me that the monitors come with DVI cables and the GPU comes with DVI - VGA adpater.

So what is the best option?

My 1st thoughts are
Option 1 - 1(HDMI-HDMI) 2(DP-HDMI) 3(DVI-HDMI)
Option 2 - 1(DVI-HDMI) 2(DP-HDMI) 3(DVI-HDMI)

Option 1 means i have to buy 1 HDMI cable, 1 DP-HDMI active adpater and 1 DVI-HDMI adapter
Option 2 means i have to buy 1 DP-HDMI active adpater and 2 DVI-HDMI adapters

Opinions?

I did not realise that about DP, thats good news to me!

I do have a spare HDMI cable kicking about, i just mentioned it on the OP to keep it simple.

To be honest, im surprised that the monitors dont have DVI as i was under the impression that DVI was still better than HDMI even though it is a lot older.

Are you sure it comes with a HDMI-DVI cable, all i could find was a DVI-VGA(i think) adaptaper?

Id have to agree, the sooner DP is the norm, the better.
I can only keep my fingers crossed then. If i have to go out to the shops then so be.
Thanks for your help though, appreciate it! :)
