hmm well ok people i currently have 2 sm2493hm monitors. these puppys have 1x DSUB, 1x DVI & 1xHDMI conectors.

i know the 5870/50 support eyefinity with 2xdvi and 1x display port with the hdmi actually being tied into one of the dvi ports so both cannot be used at the same time.

now is there any way i can get video out of the display port and into a hdmi via some sort of adapter or other magical artifact? i know displayport is basicly a copyright free version of hdmi so im hoping so! :)

Looks like it works with a active DisplayPort-to-DVI adapter

This was from the Eyefinity presentation a couple of weeks ago, looks like it will work if you have the right type of adaptor. Looks like they hooked this up to 3x 1920x1080 displays via HDMI

As Chapparel said, you need an active DP to DVI/HDMI adaptor, ATi/AMD have acknowledged this and are currently working to get some Eyefinity approved adaptors listed.
