Hi guys,

perhaps you can help me clarify something. I'm running a 5850 and currently have 2 x 22 inch monitors. I'm fully aware that in order to run 3 i need either a display port adapter or monitor.

As i cannot afford a monitor with DP i decided to look for an adapter. I've found one called a VGA to DP adapter that if you search around im sure you'll find around the £20.00 mark. It doesnt look like one of those active ones, but it looks exactly the same as one confirmed to work on wide screen gaming forums.

So i plugged 1 of my monitors into DVI port and the other into the Displayport via the adapter. After a few teething problems im currently running 2 monitors in CCC using the display port adapter in a resolution of 3360 x 1050.
Does this mean if i get a third monitor and plug it in to the DVI port im likely to get it working? or am i missing something that could possibly prevent the third from working even tho the adapter works with 2 monitors.

I suppose to sum up, if my adapter works with 2 monitors, will it def work with 3?

Heres the link to the confirmation that a cheap adapter can work - http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17468

Thanks for any info.
