I'd just like to point out I can spell "recommendation." haha... just noticed my error.
Hi there.
After failing miserably in the monitors section of the forums. I've sticking to my favourite section, General Hardware.
I'm looking at doing eyefinity and I have a few questions other than the obvious.
I have a 6970... Would it be possible to use, two dvi and one HDMI or do I need to use the displayport? I've heard something about being active and passive. Not read much into that, if anyone could shed some light?
If I do need displayport, this would obviously limit my monitor choice. I was currently looking at the LG E2360V-PN. It looks smart IMO. However I seen on youtube someone was having issues putting them together nicely. As in, sitting next to each other smoothly. I do plan on buying a triple monitor stand down the line. Would this eliminate these issues?
If anyone can recommend me another monitor for around a similar price or cheaper that has thin bezels... then I'd like to see it.
I was also wondering how much of a performance hit my games would take from running these sort of resolutions?
I can currently max out battlefield bad company 2. Averaging 65FPS. What sort of frames would I expect over three monitors? 20? 30?
Not Important
The primary use wont necessarily be gaming. I do a lot of web design work and other productive tasks that tend to leave me craving more pixels to play with. I currently use the ATI desktop switcher and it's alright, but it's not the same as having three physical screens.
Anyway... Cheers for any tips.
