Hey all,
Wasn't sure where to post this to so please move if necessary.
It may be a PC related issue but I really don't know (hence the thread
)
The Goal and Background:
I like to make YouTube vids of playing old console games
And I want as best pic & sound as possible.
To do this I bought the EZCap device which allows me to connect the console to my PC via USB so I can view it on my monitor and record onto my hard-drive.
The Problem:
Had some trouble setting it up initially, but finally got there (see link in my sig for examples).
I have to play & record via 'Arcbiz' or some-such program (I will update the name when I get home and can check) as Virtualdub was just unplayable, the pic was at about 1FPS.
Once recorded I drop it into Sony Vegas and add my commentary (that I recorded live on Audacity) and render it out.
Now, the results are pretty pleasing, but the sound becomes unsynced. It starts fine but becomes progressively out of sync over time.
Anyone got any suggestions or advice on how I could remedy this? Not sure how others record.
It could be a recording, rendering or YouTube problem... It's odd, but it's all jumpy and near un-watchable when I watch the file on my PC, but when uploaded to YouTube it's a nice picture.
Note this is for recording older pre-HDMI consoles.
Cheers!
Howie.
