I decided to update the bios on my B650E-E I downloaded the latest file but whenever I try and read the file in the bios the system freezes.

Anyone come across this before?
Thanks
Scott

It's in the right format and it didn't even start to read for some reason. Think I've fixed it though I did a full format on the USB stick, put the bios on and tried again and it's updating as I type:)

Sorry only just seen this thread, happened recently whilst updating my Mrs bios on her B650e-i, I had to reformat the USB to MBR instead of GPT for it to work.

Are you flashing the latest bios ? let me know how you get on with it please, I had to back flash my Mrs bios using USB flashback, it turned out to be a load of rubbish on the 7900X3D she has, in fact we had so many issues I had no option but to backflash, at first we couldnt work out what was going on, so I just thought back to what had changed, after backflashing its been OK......touchwood, a lot of audio and graphical issues.

It seems to be working ok so far it's still very slow to boot compared to my b550 system but no other issues that I have come across

Thats DDR5 training for you, you can speed it up by enabling memory context restore but you also have to enable power down too and although it dramatically speeds up the boot process, power down increases latency in windows (not a good thing), and memory context restore (MCR) recycles old memory training data, also not a good thing as it doesnt always get it right and can lead to errors, I just live with the longer training times as boot.
