Finally got round to completing it this weekend. Nothing special, it's very much more of the same. There's not quite so many 'weird'/scary/annoying bits, but the environments, while detailed, are lacking in variety somewhat.
There's a couple of great action sequences; one where you drop down onto some train carriages from above, and another right at the end on the hospital roof. Some really nice fights there really showcasing the AI in FEAR.
However, two good set pieces does not a good game make, and it's frustrating that they didn't build on the solid foundations of FEAR to make a more involving game. There's even less plot (phones, teammate interaction) etc and you can't help but feel that Monolith have simply gone through the motions with this one.
FEAR has a great technical base - good graphics, sound, physics and AI - it's just a shame that it's not been used to make a genuine classic in the mould of Deus Ex or something like that. It basically feels like a posh version of, I dunno, Area51 or Pariah.
