Sombody asked me why I wanted an E6800 C2D, well this is a good reason. All three Cores were at stock speed at the time, same work unit number.

-- E6800-CORE-2 --

Min. Time / Frame : 10mn 19s - 756.52 ppd
Avg. Time / Frame : 17mn 23s - 448.98 ppd

-- E6600-CORE-1 --

Min. Time / Frame : 37mn 47s - 206.57 ppd
Avg. Time / Frame : 37mn 47s - 206.57 ppd

-- E6600-CORE-2 --

Min. Time / Frame : 38mn 58s - 200.29 ppd
Avg. Time / Frame : 39mn 00s - 200.12 ppd
.

Which WU was that? - seems a bit strange that the extra 530MHz would give more than double the ppd

Stan :)

Something wrong there. Identical chips apart from the clock rate, and double the average ppd? Also, what's up with the peak time? 7 minutes quicker than the average? Maybe the first frame or two?

What was the work unit number? What was running on the other core of the 6800? Looks like it might be a matter of cache sharing.

It's a Beta WU.

I thought the numbers were a bit strange as well, but if you look on my EOC stats today at 10.28, 9am I got 542 pts for one of them, so it seems to be working ok. Have two more of them on the E6600 at the moment.

E6800 Setup:
1x GPU Core
1x CPU Core

E6600
2x CPU Cores

NO WAY! Can that be right.

Different workunits, have to be... or something was using the E6600.

Same mem B/W unless different timings.

There is nowt different, apart form 530mhz...

and that comes out in the overclocking tbh
meh, I'd have gone for the 6600 but it put me over budget even more.
