Latest issue in post #29

Hi all, so up until now F@H has run my GPU (670 DCU2 @ 1250) on its power limit of 115% and pulled between 75K and 95K PPD, but recently it has only been running at about 80% to 90% power and it is only pulling 30K PPD. Gpu usage remains at 99% however.

The GPU works normally when gaming and stress testing etc, just not in folding.

Any ideas?

I think it may have been caused by the latest graphics driver update.

I am running the latest client (7.3.6) which I have restarted a couple of times, I have also removed and re-applied my overclock several times, and it has gone through about 4 WU's like this.

I can tell when it isn't being utilised properly as it runs about 6 degrees cooler.

Any help appreciated, cheers. :)

Different WU; you've got an older Core15 unit for certain. As soon as the Core17 units appeared most everyone jumped on them even though they were originally for Beta testers only. The Core15s need doing and I know it's tempting to dump them but please don't.

How would I determine which WU's im doing?

The GPU usage is still on 99% and it is sitting at 1200 - 1250MHz as usual, just the power is at 80 - 90 not 100 - 120 as per usual.

Look in FAH Control. The Work Unit will be listed there. Also, use the same tool to look in your log, else look in %APPDATA/Roaming/FAHClient/logs.

The log line should start with the time, then the Slot number (probably FS00) then either 0x15 or 0x17. If it's 0x15 then you have a Core15 unit.

Or you can use HFM.net to monitor your system. HFM can also produce nice web pages for you to see what's happening when you're not at home.

Mine is here

It has been doing this for several units though. I guess all I can do is wait and see if anything changes.

Sorry how would I check frame times? :p

It takes about 9 minutes per 1% of the WU at the moment if thats what you mean?

I have been playing with clocks on my GFX cards, got the 660ti's to 1215 and stable but the titan will only make it to 1097, I put my recent drop in ppd down to my messing but I had updated drivers to R331.58 after I had found my core limits.
I have just backdated to 326.80 beta drivers and hopefully that will bring my ppd back up.
