I had trouble with one of my Dual-XEON rigs, 2.4 version. So I cleared all the data except the Core and the CFG file. When I reloaded / restarted them all, they all locked onto 1495 & 1497 WU's.

Thing is, I removed ADVMETHODS from the start up on my e6800 & e6600 rig earlier this week. Since then I've gotten a non-stop stream of these WU's where before I was lumbered with 21xx 3 day WU's.

I dont know what's up with this, but these WU's are quick, and healthy in the points category. May be worth a try to clear all the files in your FAH forlder, remove -advmethods and have a go at it.

There's a glut of 1495/1497 WUs. Everyone seems to be getting some. This happened for a while with 1496 as well before they dried up.

No complaints from me. A-crunching we will go.

Makes me wonder if I should break out the GPU or not this weekend.

Exactly my thought. I've just picked up another e6600 and x1950 Pro. I might set up one 6600 with 2x GPU's and clock the other e6600 for normal WU's.

What does one do :D

I've been getting them with and without -advmethods; I'm not sure it makes much difference, especially when there's as many around as there are now! Normally you have a better chance with it, though I've had times when the opposite has been true...

Same here - I wonder if KE1HA still has -advmethods selected one way or the other (since there are two ways if using the v5.04 client)
I ran the -config only option and said no to -advmethods, as well as editing the Registry to ensure the start-up wasn't throwing it on. In the log file, when the clients are stated, -advmethods is clearly not enabled or showing up now, whereas before it was.

I dont know, or at least have no data to support if the -advmethods have anything at all to do with the fact I'm getting 1495 / 1497 WU's, it's just an observation on those three machines.

Will let you know more tonight, as Im firing up the third box.

Gotta love the huge increase in our team output over the last day or two :p

:D
Wooo!

Edit: good to see the nosedive trend has levelled out again :) Over 90k for the past 2 days, keep it up

I have one 1495 but the 364's have always seemed to be quite nice.

The other one that appears to be new that i'm impressed with is

Project : 1166
Core : Gromacs
Frames : 100
Credit : 574

-- AMD 3200+ ClawHammer (stock) --

Min. Time / Frame : 34mn 59s - 236.27 ppd
Avg. Time / Frame : 37mn 34s - 220.02 ppd

And a christmas smilie :D

Good score for a stock 3200+

I just got a similar WU, the first wu since changing to -advmethods

Code:
Project : 1167
Core : Gromacs
Frames : 100
Credit : 494

Min. Time / Frame : 17mn 00s - 418.45 ppd
Avg. Time / Frame : 21mn 05s - 337.40 ppd
Avg has been drastically reduced due to gaming. It's between 7 and 8 minutes per frame really.

Edit: hmm not similar at all apparently

I did have it at 2350mhz with mem 1:1 at 470 instead of 400, though I don't really like loosening the timings to do it, think i'll see how far it'll go with a divider instead. ClawHammers are awful overclockers so 350mhz is pretty damn good.

I ocasionally play WoW on here but I really can't be bothered most of the time. I spend more time specing computers and seeing if I can find cheap bits for an E6600 rig :p

I can never be bothered to keep changing -advmethods lol
