F1 2010 - Is there anyway to change how many laps I do?

Hi there, I was wondering if you guys knew a way to lower the laps, I hate been forced to do 9 laps or whatever, I'd rather do 3 laps, so thought maybe there's a way to modify this in the config file or a mod/addon I can download?

Pretty sure if you go to "Race Options" when in your trailer you can change it.

You can't, it has limited option, there's a slider that you can move across that changes the laps from 49 laps down to 10 laps but I'd still prefer to just do 3 laps, this is the only car game I've ever played that forces you to do so many laps. Which is why I posted to see if there was a solution. I tend to get bored after 3-5 laps and I'm ready for the next course so for me personally this is spoiling the game and my experience.

It's formula one, it's all about building up a small gap over lots of laps, not a 3lap rally :/

I do around 20 lap races which is still short.

Well I find that I drive amazing for first 5 laps and then the following 5 laps I drive bad and make mistakes because of lack of concentration so 3-5 laps is enough for me.

They should have made is so we can choose, seems daft that the options are so restricted.

But, it's how Formula 1 works... You should probably stick to dirt or something similar? if you keep losing concentration and having offs, use the replays

I dont like to use flashbacks, I usually disable them in these sort of games.

You say stick to dirt or something but why when I like F1 games? lol...I think the game is amazing, I love everything about it, just wish I could lower the laps...I love driving Formula one cars, they're amazing to drive, the speed is incredible, this game has a great engine and amazing graphics, it's got everything I want in a car game.

So the comments I've recieved in this thread are kinda daft in my opinion, if you guys enjoy staying on one course for 20-50 laps then thats great, but I would prefer to enjoy all the courses rather then just play on one course for long periods of time.

If I could somehow change the laps to 3-5 laps it would make the game even better for me.

But I guess nobody knows a way to change the laps, I'll keep searching online because there must be a way to alter it in the config or something.

EDIT: I just noticed F1 2011 is out in 12 days, so if I cant find a solution I guess I could just try that game and hope it lets you lower the laps.
