Anyone on OCUK interested in an F1 2011 league?

Depending on how many people we could have multiple groups of skill level. Sorted by a trial to sort out what league you go in.

Could have a team mate so you are battling for a constructors title.

Cars to be sorted randomly.

Just want to get a sense of numbers first

I play with all off but it would have to do to a group vote. Want to keep this open to all skills so dont want to put people off.

Also do we think assigning team mates should be done on performance to keep the constructors compettive?

E.g split the league into two groups . Driver 1 and Driver 2 ,

Driver 1 being the fastest drivers, Driver 2 being the slower half. This means all teams will have one top guy.

this helps add a bit of excitment to people who might be at the back, and probably stop some mega teams from running away with it?

Thoughts?

one thing i would be strict on is the racing line assist. Its just lazy, if you got a race put some effort in and learn the track!

Its probably best to start racing 2-3 weeks after release to let people practice the new circuits

I would be up for this as long as we can use an assist or 5. If not I'm out. This game is just too hard without the racing line and I don't know the pit buttons so lol.

When I say this game I mean 2010 :p

We will be allowing assists of some sort, Racing line is off, Dont be lazy and PRACTICE the tracks, What i do to practice is just race some time trials do 10 laps with the race line on and then remove it, You will learn the quickest way around the track much better without following a magic line

People with decent rigs it would be awsome if you can record your races. Possible set up a community Youtube channel with our races stored online

I could really do with a bit of a vote on what people think is best.

My thoughts are All assists are on but not the racing line. Obviously those who have the skillz to the pay the bills wont need assists and maybe better?

What about distance? Im thinking 20% or 30% Weather should be left as dynamic.

HBK757 got your email, thanks a lot was some good info there, i got most of it coverd anyway. Expect a proper thread possibly monday or tuesday

Oh the first corner pile up in the first race could be potentially hilarious.

Then quickly frustrating. How we going to deal with people using others are their 'brakes'?

Im hoping people here will have enough respect not to do silly stuff like that, ive raced in other leagues and people have been good.

other rules like one move to defend and leaving enough room to overtake (like in real F1) should be stuck too.

Repeated rammers and crashes will be kicked out

were looking at possible 3 weeks after UK release to start the first race, Still need more racers.

there will be a driver league and als a constructor championship

By leaving enough room to overtake what exactly do you mean? If they are lapping you?

General etiquette in F1 is to leave at least a car widths size between your car and the edge of the track. In other words if you are defending then you
shouldn't hog the outside/inside of the track to stop an overtake

and backmarkers if there is any lapping should get out of the way
