Can't see any posts about this. Anyone else looking forward to it? Just received my key, but still not able to preload. Soon though, i'll be pretending i know things about F1 & making Vroooooooom noises

As far as I can tell it's F1 2013 engine with updated car models/skins, sounds and tracks. Looks exactly the same right down to the HUD etc.

F1 2015 is being developed right now and apparently will be released a lot earlier in the 2015 season. It's going to be the proper next gen game for PC and consoles.

I bought 2013 a couple months ago for about £9 through a CD key site and i'm not going to bother with 2014, waste of money.

I finished '12 ages ago, and have been looking for '13 for a decent price since then. But i got a little extra money so figured i'd just buy '14 and skip '13

Having bought 11 12 and 13 i am skipping this years and waiting for the next gen version.

If they offered 50 % off for people who have 13 i would have gone for it.

Was v tempted by this, but think I will also hold off until 2015. Unless I can get this for cheap :D though the merc will obviously be the best car, seems like a good idea to wait till next year for a more level playing field...

Sounds like a real disappointment! Just like 2013 gameplay and feature wise but with less features. There isn't a single 'stand-out' feature introduced this year apart from the updated tracks, drivers and livery you would expect as default! :(

The graphics look horrendously flat too, despite personally thinking that GRID 2 looked pretty decent.

its actually not to bad, got to play it on at least pro though with professional AI to make it decent.

I dont think the graphics are flat, just nothing new to get excited about

Read horrible things about the handling on joy pads with this game, even with assists off you don't lock up or spin the wheels.

Steering wheels are as before though, they have just made joypads to easy (not challenging) for new casual players, hopefully they patch it out or the community do as at the moment it's terrible.

I still like getting stuck into 2013 from time to time but don't have the time for full career mode.

The cars in the old school pack or what ever it's called is a good laugh.

I'll skip 2014, but 2015 will be an instant purchase for me. It's a F1 series that is being churned out yes, but it's a series none the less that's not that bad!

+1 Really looking forward to seeing what they do with the "power" available with the new consoles. Plus the 2015 release is going to be early next year which is excellent.

I want to know why does other cars rear red light flash at random when its sunny? Is it a bug, because I thought the light only flashes in poor conditions?

The red light flashes when the car ahead is recovering electrical energy on brakes or via engine braking.

It is a warning to the car behind that the car may do something different under deceleration

AVForums gave it 5/10.

A year of work is not represented in F1 2014, instead it seems rushed. It feels like a side project pushed on a team inexperienced enough to put their stamp on a franchise with a fan base as huge as F1. As such it suffers, and therefore so do we as consumers. In playing it ‘safe’ and keeping things the same, Codemasters will undoubtedly further alienate veterans to the series who were frustrated by its iterative nature back in 2012 and 2013. Until Codemasters show some intent to fix the PC specific issues and address the frightening lack of new content, I would give this game a wide berth.
