F1 2015

The F1 experience doesn't look a good one though, sure as a racing game I'm sure it's good, but as an F1 game it's lacking.

Spent a couple of hours with the game and I have to say I hate it. They've ripped the game to bits and the AI is shocking - previous games had bad AI but I think this one takes it to another level. Another game rushed out before its finished. :(

So i did a pit stop during the chinese grand prix... can you guys spot anything odd in this picture ;):p

I just played it , its not that bad. It's a 7/10 game. The AI aren't as bad as drive club. I did think the gfx was weak for a next gen game. Replays are very good apart from really , really annoying music. It's a game for true f1 fans, as its got issues such as lack of instance features like challenges etc.. You will only really get a challenge by taking on the entire 2015 /2014 season..

I've played worse games, also played better. I'm a big f1 fan there isn't a lot of choice for f1 games sadly. I'll play it, as not many racing games for ps4, project cars has it for gfx. F1 2015 was instantly playable with a pad... Really easy compared to project cars..

Oh well, maybe not for every one...

Actually in terms of a race season it's pretty full on f1. Full grid girls, pits, its all there. Just once the seaosn ends, so does the game.. Solution. Start another season with another driver?

It does seem feature are cut back, iI won't deny..

Well least codemasters had the sense to allow pit chat through either ds4 speaker or TV or headphones.. And they locked the replays to 30 fps so they are rock solid replay and look superb...

Protect cars has woeful replays and still can't change the pit chat to TV speaker in project cars... And another thing, even though it's buggy from the looks. Least you get a full animated pit crew. So its not a total write off this game...

It'll have to do till something better comes along. I do wonder if they will apply anymore patches.. I've noticed my car number in season mode is 6 but its meant to be 44 lol yet in replays its showing as 44 correctly... Oops

As the reviews suggested, actual on-track racing is solid and feels great. The general "stuff" going on around the car in the pits etc. is much better and believable as well, I don't feel as surrounded by lifeless zombie mechanics this time :p

Game is massively lacking in modes, and options in general though - I mean there is no way to even adjust the brightness/gamma in-game?!?. I had to adjust my monitor settings (never had to do this for anything else) as the game seems overly bright and washed out.

This game desperately needs a 30fps cap option, upon saying this codemasters were dreadful developers for ps3 so the fact they've managed better this time around is something I guess, but still let's not get too excited - its hardly a technical masterpiece...

Solid racing, lack of features and iffy performance across both consoles leaves this game firmly in the hands of only the dedicated f1 fan IMO.

I played for 4 hours last night, enjoyed it, loved the replays as they are locked to 30 fps so are rock solid playback meaning they are very enjoyable to watch. And I love how you can use direction pad to change cars, I can see the accidents and incidents I missed once race finishes...

It's like I said a 7/10 game only for the purist f1 fan ....

Well the slowdown and screen tearing so far are pretty horrendous.......

Car and track detail seem good....

The audio is also crap, there is hardly a note change when you enter the tunnel on Monaco.. It sounds more like an asthmatic Nissan micro than a screaming F1 car.

So far F1 2014 is better than this and tbh that was pretty dire...

The screen tearing is really really off putting for me.......

This game as mentioned above needs a 30fps cap. It's a stuttering tearing mess as it is. It's horrible to play especially the screen tear.

First game I have played in a while that I will be returning tbh. I have played 15 mins and that's enough for me. It's a shame as the actual racing and handling seem ok. I'm sure F1 2016 will be better but this is just an unfinished mess on PS4 anyway....

I'm out...

It seems the tearing and slowdown is worse on some tracks to others. Just done a race at Silverstone and it was not to bad. Once you get away from the start grid it smoothed out a bit. I did receive a 2 second penalty as another car drove into me though ?

Monaco is a mess for slowdown and tearing.

It needs a 30 fps cap, I found iin clear conditions it is mostly stable frame rate wise. But a total mess whilst in the pits. I'm going to trophy hunt with it, enjoy the races in clear conditions but yes I think the screen tearing is pretty poor, shame as all it needs is a 30 fps cap. Why do devs never listen.

I was told devs do not like being told what to do. And are arrogant and don't take criticism well... This could be true to be honest... It can't be like these devs do not notice the issues...

I remember dropping my ps3 to 720 mode for gt5 which sorted screen tearing out.. Wonder if thsi works for f1 2015. Seriously I'd take a res drop for smooth screen tear free racing.

Apart from the tearing and slowdown it seems a decent F1 game racing wise. The penalty system is a bit hit and miss but the sense of speed when it all runs ok is great.

So for me the PS4 version is going back and I will play it on my laptop. At least I can lower a few settings and it should remain at 60fps without tearing.

Codemasters all new engine tbh on PS4 anyway is crap. It also looks worse than previous F1 games to me even on last gen.

It feels unfinished and rushed and I'm not bothered about the career mode.

Shame really but I'm sure F1 2016 will be an optimised version of this so another year to wait possibly....
