F1 2016

After doing a quick TT session and improved my time i have gotten down to a 1.47.9 but has anybody noticed that when doing a 2nd flying lap in time trail mode that the car is so much improved in every area like i have included in the video below (spun out at the beginning of sector 2 to see how much the car can be pushed)

I wonder if the tyre temps etc still need to be kept? I do find the second lap a little more stable but sometimes that's becasue I've just booked up my turn in and avoided the curbs.

Just done my first race in career. Sainz was ahead of me in 9th, blew up just after he crossed the line and it showed him as race winner. But then the results table showed him as last but the race commentary made him driver of the day... Haha. Even had him on the podium.

Maybe the Temps do have an effect, do you use Traction control?

You brake so much later than me, don't know if it's the auto gears I use

I don't use any assists as i don't see the point as it can slow me down and as i have seen some people rely to much on the assists doing the job for them instead of trying to develop the skill to drive without them hell even i was struggling to drive car at first with the game but the more you drive the more you can learn to drive around the problems and be more gentle with them, the last f1 game i drove was 2013 so coming to this game with the new engines having so more torque it was a surprise to me on how much gentle you have to be on the throttle.

Afternoon!

I downloaded this from Steam yesterday and installed it but it's unplayable due to random control issues - the car seems to take on a life of it's own, either not responding to keyboard input or veering off from a straight line without any keyboard input.

No other controllers connected.

Anyone else come across this?

Tempted by this, graphics look good and it sounds like it's got a bit more 'sim' in it but is it worth grabbing ?

Oh, and does this have a hot-seat option yet ala Grand Prix2 ?

Its fine in TT, lower the rear tyre pressures and get the camber and toe set up and its controllable. I managed on a 360 controller without TC.

Incredible.
I clearly must be doing something fundamentally wrong.

What kind of camber, toe and pressure we talking about?

Also I have noticed that a lot of the top times *I think* are being set by gamepad.
