So Kubica's been disqualified and his team are saying its down to high tyre wear yet Michaels tyres were totally crackered! Does his car not need to be checked because he didnt finish or did he actually pass the inspection I wonder?

I did think Ferrari should have brought MS in but he was still lapping reasonably quickly but then he would have came out behind Heidfield anyway.
Having only just had chance to watch this race, what can I say... GET IN THERE!!!!
I can't honstly believe that people are not happy for Jenson. He was CLEARLY faster than Alonso and Schumacher for the greater majority of this race, and irrespective of strategy, was still faster at the end. It just confirms to me my feelings towards some members of the Motors community. I can take other peoples opinions, but if some are so blinded as to see the most deserving driver won this race, then you really aren't true F1 fans.
Was nice to see Shumi up to his old tricks again. Stunning performance on near shot inters, but he needs to learn when to give up on blocking a pass. (waits for typical Type_R response).
Alonso was unlucky. For a driveshaft to fail, on one of the most reliable cars, in a wet race when there is the least load, just purely unlucky. Still... keeps the championship interesting!

Schumacher should have came in and changed to slicks when he was a good 15 seconds of PDR. That was the biggest mistake that Ferrari made today. Massa came in, went out on slicks and set some blistering lap times. Schuey would have lost at least two places but could have probably regained one and got a few world championship points in the process.
JB has had some very impressive machinery over the years, quick Williams, quick Renault and a rather quick BAR last year. This year hasnt went to plan for Honda as they simply couldnt qualify well and have had some other problems to.
Put it this way, if Button wins a world title then fair do's, he'll get the credit he deserves but at the moment though he is a single GP winner with 113 GP's behind him, not the most spectacular record you'll agree.
And to finish off, its amazing what a bit of rain can do a track like that, another snooze fest was turned into one of the races of the season, perhaps theres a lesson in here for the FIA (reduce the aero and tyre grip and get back to some decent racing).

Still, its nice that Button won a race. To credit him he had the best team on the day and drove the best. However I don't think he is going to be winning championship any times soon.

James Allen did act like an idiot when Button won, he sounded more like he was trying to make a name for himself than genuinely convey his excitement of Buttons win.
You knew Murray was always genuine and went through the good times and the bad like the viewers with Damon/Nigel etc and when they came good you knew it meant the same to him as it did to us, whereas Allen always overacts like he's trying to "do more of a Murray" and it comes accross as really false.

2000 Debut Season for Williams with Ralf, neither driver won anything and he was only 12 points behind Ralf in the drivers championship.
2001 Switched to Benetton and the car was a complete dog, everyone admits that, finished with 2 points, team made Fisi had 8.
2002 Renault (was Benetton), car improved yes but not a race winning one. Finished ahead of team made Trulli with 14 points.
2003 Moved to BAR, car was pants really. Finished with 17 points.
2004 Best car yet, finished on the podium lots of times, probably should have won at Imola but car just wasn't a race winner. Finished with 84 points in 3rd.
2005 We all know what happened, car just wasn't good enough to win races, plus disqualification and being banned never helps.
So, I dont see where he had this "impressive" machinery, maybe im wrong though?

The problem was that he was defending his position too hard. He shouldve let PDR and Heidfeld through as they were a good 4 secs a lap faster at the time.
It certainly was impressive though during qualifying when MS put that stonkingly fast qualifying lap in. I think it was 0.6s faster than the next man.
Alonso's early pace during the heavy rain was impressive. I think he must now be considered the rain meister.
Qudos to Button - the best team/car/driver combo on the day won. I dont think he will win many more though.
In the dry the Ferraris are just too strong for Renault to handle. I think this a trend we shall see continue right to the end of the season now.

Sorry man, I know u r a Button supporter, but I feel that if MS or Alonso had driven the 2004 Bar, they wouldve won at least 1 race a piece. This is purely conjecture though and we will never know if I am right or not.

No need to apologise, I actually would agree with that statement. Im fairly certain that a Kimi/Schumi in 2004 BAR would have probably won a race, provided the team worked well, I think that was a weak link in 2004/2005 BAR/Honda. I dispute the fact that the Williams and Renault (Benetton) were any good though.
