They weren't even close to simulators! I popped into the centre in MK to see what they were about. They had cheap and tired looking generic single seater cockpits, with cheap PS2 steering wheels. They had F1 2011 running in full arcade no damage mode, LG TVs mounted right in the sun (black T shirts thrown over the noses so the punters had half a chance of seeing the screen!)
There were about 10 people queueing out of the tens of hundreds filing past in the shopping centre. I stood and watched for a short while, before realised I'd be far better off coming home and firing iRacing up!
There's Pure Tech Racing near Gatwick - these are probably more like the simulators you are after.
