F1 Spinpoint Vibration!

Hey guys.. i currently own 4 1TB samsung spinpoints.. 3 of them are whisper quiet in comparison to the new one... it vibrates and generally makes an annoying buzzing sound, have I just gotten unlucky or is there something I can do... it doesnt seem to be the way its screwed in or anything its just generally loud :|

Sounds like it is just a bad 'un - I've had a few (got 2 now) and never had one make any vibration noise. RMA it.

wow can u RMA it for something like this? i mean, it works fine but ye the sound is kinda driving me nuts! my pc is right next to me u see ;<

Can't hurt to give it a try - I mean a vibration like that would suggest to me that something internal is on the way out & I certainly wouldn't trust it with important data and hence it's not fit for the purpose it's been sold for imo.

Try moving the HDD's around. Try another HDD in the same bay as your noisy F1, or try using the HDD out of the case. It could be a broken bay or something, I dunno. If the noise still comes from the new drive, then I'd say RMA it.

My F1 hums sometimes....hummmm......hummmm......like that. Can be annoying, but most of the time it's fine. It's a darn fast drive though.

You never know it could be something as i have had 2 bust f1s, just got my
3rd and fingers crossed its fine.

RMA to REXA they swapped mine without even asking what was wrong

and it replaced in 3 days, i was impressed
