Sauber were give or take a little 2 seconds off the Williams pace in the US and Abu Dhabi races at the end of the season, half that in Brazil but much shorter track. To get within half a second of Williams, even if Sauber were going 100% and lowest fuel possible and Williams maybe had a few extra laps of fuel in, that won't change the times drastically, it's still way ahead of where they were last year.
Think we'll see over the final two days the pure 1-lap pace of the Merc and how superior it seems compared to the rest of the field...
