Expect more pieces of aero being attached as well, although most teams will be bringing even newer parts to the first race as well too.

RE: Mclaren

McLaren are pushing the limits on cooling. From the picture below we can see they have added an extra three slots to the one that they were forced to cut into the bodywork last week. There are two brown-ish marks are on both sides of the bodywork so there is something very close to that part of the engine cover - probably the exhausts or turbo and that is of major concern. The exhaust temperatures on these cars runs at around 400-800 degrees centigrade and are wrapped in heat proof insulation. If the temperature cannot be controlled anything near them is vulnerable. To finish first, first you have to finish - so these random reliability problems that McLaren seems to have carried over from the Honda days are of major concern, and now they have no-one but themselves to point the finger at.

This Gary Anderson seems to have a bit of a chip on his shoulder. Sure they might be running a little hot but that doesn't mean to say that's why the car stopped this morning. They had some decent running for both drivers last week and there's a lot of the day left. I'd rather a team be pushing the boundaries than playing it safe. Especially McLaren. Sure they need to find a reliable base line, but they also desperately need to be fighting at the pointy end of the field. Here's hoping it's something and nothing.

He has a point. For the last few years Mclaren have been saying they have the best chassis and if they had a reliable engine on par with the rest they'd be fighting at the other end. Now they have an engine which has shown to be competitive and can win races so now if they don't do a good job it's going to look like it's nothing but amateur hour at Woking.

What's even worse is how well the Toro Rosso Honda seems to be running and reliably.

I remember Red Bull getting to grips with that Renault engine, weren't they struggling to keep it cool too? Sure it will have developed, but you can't expect McLaren to drop a new engine supplier in and instantly be Red Bull competition. As for Toro Rosso, let's see how they do when we get to the actual racing.

Quite hilarious watching McLaren struggle. After their constant shameless blaming on Honda and being the ones who held development back, they are still having numerous issues. The constant hype about their chassis when it is bang average. How long til they start slagging off Renault and blaming them for everything?

It's funny watching Toro Rosso and Mercedes tag team and troll McLaren on social media.

Perhaps they should have kept Ron Dennis on.

I think so.. Was that the start of this Era, so 2014 testing? Then again, RBR won 3 races that year if I remember and Mclaren, even with the Mercedes PU still finished 4th/5th. If I recall, it Was Mercedes, RBR, Williams, Ferrari and then Mclaren-Mercedes (I could be wrong). So they've been having reliability issues for way longer than just Honda.

Of course I'm not expecting them to challenge the Red Bull team but for all the slagging off they did towards Honda, they should've been able to hit the ground running and get some decent laps in and show off the amazing chassis they've been pumping up.

It's the curse of Alonso but I will laugh so hard if Toro-Rosso-Honda beats them

Boullier would surely struggle to survive another disastrous season now that the power unit has been changed. Then again, perhaps his histories links to Renault might just save him. If there are such links, they're clearly not proving to be very fruitful at this stage...

Stoffel breaks down again...

Haha. Hahahaha. The Mclaren has broken down again! So much for it all being Honda. Karma Alonso, Karma. How embarrassing for the whole group if they don't sort this by Oz.
