F1 Testing - Silverstone 24/25/26 July.

A few photos below. I'm crap at taking pictures, though.

Mark was right about Chris Horner, my jaw hit the ground. It was great to walk around the paddock in general & recognise a few people including Mike Gascoigne. Fantastic to actually step inside the RBR garage. Very clean! Got to see DC and the team up close. Was stood there for a while and went back another 3 times I think!

We could do the same again next year mate, was a pleasure to meet you and you behaved better than most of the guests we get in the garage.

Ah damn. I read your text as to say you'd departed following the Glock/DC collision - never mind! I felt like a bit or a traitor wondering around the Renault garage with my RBR cap and t-shirt on :p

Left not long after once the images were sent to the factory most of us left to start work on a replacement. You still could have come for a wander around though,i had already told one of the PR girls that there maybe someone coming and if im not there let them in.

Looking forward to next Friday now,the free practice should be just as good and the support races are pretty decent to.

Stuck over at Becketts outside though so miles away from the garage [ not such a bad thing]!

Will see if i can get Red Bull to sponsor some sort of group entrance. Might not all get Paddock access but i will give it a good go!

That would be great. Got to get a new camera first though

I'll pull the video off tomorrow which will be better than the photos :p

That would be fantastic. I've never been able to afford to go to an F1 event. Is testing normally free to get into to? (Obviously not the paddock)

AFAIK during testing they send a lot more data back to pits, so need more/better antennas.

It looks like a pitot tube for measuring the speed of the air top of the car, you can see another one on the bonnet above the "1" too. As it's a test day, they'll probably stick as much crap on the cars to log more data for specific components etc.
