After literally 12 months of indecision I have decided on a F31 330d Touring as my next car, the lease deals available mean it will be "bought" that way so residuals are of no concern.

I am now down to what colour scheme to go for, In isolation like the look of Estoril Blue and red leather but that would make an odd combo so I'm a bit stuck. It will have the Msport Plus pack including Xenons and 19" wheels so I see the options as follows....

Blue with black leather
White with red leather
Grey with red or beige leather
Silver with red leather

Obviously it wouldn't be Motors if you didn't try and convince me out of my decision on the car itself so feel free to throw ideas at me!

Estoril Blue, for sure. It's the only credible reason to purchase an F31 over the superior product that is the F11 ;)

The 5 series is something I pondered for the millionth time earlier, the way I look at it is I would be looking at circa 30k for a used 530d and I would put down 50% in cash taking a personal loan for the remainder. It would cost me £1000 in lost interest, £1200 in interest on the loan, warranty costs and potential additional running costs so a 5 year old 530d would need to be worth over approx £15k for it to work over a lease which is touch and go.

I don't need the extra space of the 5 Series and I don't desire one in the same way as the 3 for whatever reason.

It's not really about the space - it's just a better quality product which feels more premium inside and out. Though if the numbers dont work the numbers don't work. I desperately wanted to like the 3 as the performance figures especially on the 330d are absolutely excellent but I was glad to give it back after a day.

Numbers can always be made up to justify an argument ;)

So that's one vote for blue, presumably on black which is where my head is.

Red definitely wouldn't work imo - it's a shame they don't still do a silver leather. White actually looks ok in the configurator but I'm not so sure it'd work in the flesh

Oddly it isnt offered I dont think :(

If true then that's just daft. A silver/grey/cream leather would set off estoril best.

Just look at the myriad of E36 M3's with their grey vader seats.

It's offered - it's what I went for on my 320D Touring M Sport. EB exterior and Beige leather interior :)

I would have preferred the Opal White leather but that's a £1200 option :(

Sounds like a gorgeous combo.

Hope you went for Xenons this time, the front of the 3 series without xenons is terrible :p

Hmmm interesting, I actually really like a light leather interior (Volvo s60 was beige and my SLK is light grey) but I doesn't seem like a popular combo with the blue. I know it's a personal thing but I don't want to get it "wrong".

What colour is the boot carpet if beige is chosen?
