Right! I'm playing this through on fanastic mode and have become stuck, sigh

I'm totally stumped at the terrax lights beams bit (have to hit a purple crystal to go up to next floor). I did this first go on normal, but cant for the life of me remember how do it now. To save my sanity can someone tell me exaclty how i need to position the crystals, so its idiot proof. After the terrax level this game is a piece of cake to finish.

Thanks

First of course ring the bell leading two crystals coming up from the middle to reflect light. One of the lights will reflect on a turning crystal. Turn it so it hits the 4 crystals out in the unreachable distance. Then head to the light from these 4 crystals and kick the crystal into the light, reflecting it again. Head to it and you'll find two crystals. Test each one with the THING not anyone else so then it reflects right underneath the purple crystals near the original turning crystal from the start. Then use Invisible Wonder to reflect the light into the crystal and the elevator will finally be open! The puzzles upstairs are relatively easier and the boss can be solved using these strategies.

I think its the bit after that, as i already used invisible woman to do that. I'm in a osrt of circular room....

its getting on my tats, i already did this bit once and cant for the life of me remember how to do it now. :(

Not the greatest game in the world is it :D

Got it on rental so I will see what I get done then send it back. The level up glitch should save me some time though ;)

Yeah but theres a glitch to do it. Save all the credits as best you can. Around 25k. Level up a character all the way, achievement unlock. Reload checkpoint, rinse and repeat. I might have to spend some credits though, because the gorillas on level 3 keep whupping me.

Oh i kinda did that anyway, i level the thing (basically used him *** whole game) then reloaded, spent aload on another character untill they levelled etc..

Just did the last level multiple times :)

Balls, was hoping not to spend any credits but I dont think I can do the solo Mr Fantastic level with out upgrading him a bit.

To keep it cheap whats the best areas to upgrade him to get this bit done?

I tiold you this earlier ;)

Upgrade his grenade throw (damage/blast radius) and the overall section (damage, defence). I remember getting stuck at the first part of that mission as he wasn't leveled up at all. TOTALLY ignore levelling up the perescope punch till the very end, as its such a useless move.

Did ya, I dont remember reading that. I remember you saying about the Thing but not Mr fantastic. Yeah its the first part for me too. Bloody monkeys and gorillas need about 8 knockdowns.

I just spent 40 minutes trying to kill terrax. Moving those lights about and then hitting him. I must have moved them 10 or so times and it only takes tiny bits off him  The when he had a quater left he took my whole team out with his sword.

Surely it shouldnt take that long

Shouldn't take more than 10 absolute max mins tbh. Just adjust the light beams so it hits the purple crystal and then move in on him with the thing and spam the shockwave puch - make sure you upgrade the things overall damage given and his shockwave punch as much as possible (and tbh you can do this a fair bit, as there are loads and loads of coins in this room). When i had the thing pretty much upgraded fully on hard mode, i killed him after re-arranging the light beam for the 4th time. When he's about to throw his sword he makes a faint grunt type noise and the your hear a swishing noise when the sword is close to you, so jump then.

I actually did it faster on hard mode tbh.

SUARVE'S BIG MASSIVE HUGE 1337 TIP OF THE DAY: If your looking for the Doom Spy bot on this level (as i was for ages) ignore all the guides - as they are wrong. It's actually located in the room with Terrax himself. Just check the three small side rooms (spamming the things shockwave puch in each room) and you'll get it :)

Finally did it, reckon it took me half hour. I kept re-arranging the beams and one of my team mates would knock the bloody thing back again as I went to turn the last one

Also Just got through a bit of the military base, checkpointed thought I'd stop. Came back and your back at the start of the act!

Thats a bit crap. So if you stop after a checkpoint you still have to do the whole act. I was gonna try to rape the full points from this but one play through finding the collectables will be enough for me :D

Strange that a game that uses more of less the same system as marvel alliance can be so woefull in comparison.

Oh well it's only a rental.

Sounds like its taking you longer than it should. Are you using the thing's shockwave punch? As apart from the Mr fantastic and Invisible woman level;s you can complete the whole game just spamming that. I'd consider it a glitch as its makes everything so easy (even on hard mode). Got my 1000 on this finally, after finding the last sneakily hidden doom bot :)
