F5 taking you to a browser's homepage instead of refreshing

can't work out why, new laptop and the f5 button takes you to the home page no matter which browser, IE, chrome, etc. it's an HP, all the others i've seen work fine. can you change the settings somehow? kind of annoying spending years being used to it refreshing a page, going to home is....tedious. any ideas?

I seem to remember someone saying that their laptop came with the F keys set to default as their hotkey function rather than the f key.

EDIT: This is what I mean. The circled bit is set to default above the F key.

I'll have a bit of a look around to see if there was a fix for it. You probably have to uninstall some HP crapware.

Basically go into the bios and uncheck action keys mode.
