Come on guys i need 2 remove this file urgently.......

Moral of the story...

Don't download porn from limewire unless you know what you're doing!;)

You could always try restarting the computer then deleting the folder the video is in (don't open the folder after restarting, just delete). That usualy works for things like that, if there are other things in the folder you want to keep move them out before restarting.

How do i use the cmd u get rid of the file?

When you're typing into the Command Prompt, are you using the same quality of english that you use in your posts? That's more than likely to be your problem.

If you can't remove the file through CLI, then the Unlocker app linked previously will work.

Out of interest, what's it saying when you try to delete it?

I had a problem a while ago with a picture file that wasn't deleting because Windows was caching it and not allowing me to delete the picture as that would (presumably) muff the cache up.

It couldn't be something else could it? Is it definitely a movie file? Because I know people like to put trojans, viruses and all sorts of nasty stuff on it....

there's a really nifty freeware program called move-on-boot that might (read: should) work.

Ok all its not in a folder its an AVI file & everything i,ve tried failed cant figure out how 2 to the cmd prompt....... not updated on PC sort of stuff........

So it's on your desktop? Can you not move it to a folder (unlikely, but maybe.?)?

I've had files like this before, they were easy enough to remove.

Take everything out of the folder with the file in, and then delete the folder.

Have you considered that this 'offending' file might be part of a virus or some spyware? if you downloaded the file using limewire then this is entirely possible.

Run a virus/spyware scanner - e.g. Adaware and check.

Moral of the story - dont use limewire!! - torrents at a push, newsgroups is where its at.

ok might sound silly but i made similar mistake awhile back!!
have you stopped the file you downloaded from uploading? delete it within limewire?, usually an option to remove from limewire and remove/delete data and file.
i had an avi i got from fake axxo (grrr) didnt play or do anything and had same problem but it was still uploading in bittorrent, soon as i stopped it i could carry on .
