FA Cup 3rd Round Draw (04/12/2011)

Well the last time we were bottom 3, having a great season of it, we did man city in the third round.

If by some miracle forest overcome leicester, the false dawn that is the forth round will be a painfull kick in the nutsack:)

I love the FA cup, just not when it come to supporting forest when there down and out, tends to hide too many truths win or lose.

7 December - Bayern home - 0 pts
12 December - Chelsea away - 3pts
18 December - Arsenal home - 3 pts
21 December - Stoke home - 3pts
26 December - West Brom away - 3pts
1 January - Sunderland away - ah screw it, just give them league title.
3 January - Liverpool home
7 January - United home
11 January - Liverpool home
14 January - Wigan away
22 January - Spurs home
25 January - Liverpool away
31 January - Everton away

The only way UTD or anyone else can catch up to CITY is if the lose a few in a row then start drawing. The scary thing is, even if that happens, they will probably still be top.

Didn''t even realise the 3rd round draw was on today, still City away will be fun. Chance for revenge for last years Semi

To Summarize the 23 Draws:
18 were drawn at Stamford Bridge.

1 Away game against Premier League opposition before the neutral stages.
Every single 3rd round draw has been at home, against non-Premier League opposition.

Credit to the poster on the Caf for putting that together.

I think you're being a bit pessimistic with the predictions there, I can't see City winning both of there next two Premier League games, if they do though it is hard to see a way to stop them.

You really believe they'll beat both Chelsea away and Arsenal at home? :o

I was about to post that as well!! No wonder Chelsea have pretty much made the FA Cup their trophy in recent years

It's hardly that big a shout considering the form they're in

And I seem to remember you saying Utd should easily beat Liverpool and Chelsea back to back last season. You lost both :p

It certainly is a big shout to beat them both, Chelsea are at home and certainly due a result in one of the big games having lost them all so far and Arsenal are in good form themselves

As for your second part I'm not sure what your point is as that's surely proof of how hard it's going to be for them to pick up 6 points in these two games. Also IIRC I only ever said I couldn't see us losing to you having just lost to Chelsea which considering was only our second loss of the season I dont think was that big a prediction I never said we'd win both games easily.

There's a reason why Chelsea have lost all their big games and while Arsenal have been coming into a bit of form, you've still got to fancy City to beat them. It's far from certain but it wouldn't be a surprise if City won both of those games.

And the point of the 2nd part; you're in no position to ridicule somebody for having an opinion on such a matter when you had a very similar opinion (only pro-Utd in your case) last season. I can't recall the exact words but you said something along those lines, I'm pretty sure I reminded you of it after we stuffed you :p

Out of interest then did you think City would beat your lot the other week?

It wouldn't have surprised me had they beat us. I wouldn't have said I expected it though, even though they probably were slight favourites that day.

Chelsea are in poorer form than us though and are struggling at home, and City are at home to Arsenal. They're favourites to win both games in anyones book.
