FA CUP FINAL ... Chelsea v Manchester United ... Saturday 19th May *** Spoilers ***

The brave decision has to be made to try another manager. Stupid amounts of wages and fees and not one of the united players makes you think they are the player to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and turn it around. The only world class player is the keeper. Why would anyone go there except for sanchez type stupid wages, they will see highly rated players now being used ineffectively and dire football. Get someone in to get the value out of what you have rather than this **** who will now use this for justification for another 300m.

Remember a time when Man United used to go out and play open expansive football with an intention to win every game? Jose clearly doesn't and neither do most of the fans it seems. Dreadful, awful football by Mourinho, and only for about the tenth time this season. As he's got older his style of football has become worse and worse. First stint at Chelsea they were playing other teams off the park. Now he's an old, fat bus driver with a broken down bus.

I can't stand the way we're playing at the moment but it's completely untrue that we used to go and play open, expansive football in every game.

Agreed, Ferguson used to set up quite defensively and cautiously away to the big teams. The smash and grab win at Anfield when John O'Shea scored an injury time winner is one game that comes to mind, or both Barca games in the 2007/08 season when we won the CL last.

Having said that, this United team play boring football 95% of the time, we're cautious and negative even against weaker teams.

I think Mourinho will be given one more season and then be sacked if things haven't improved.

Chelsea may of only had one shot but when they broke they still looked more likely to score, when kante and alonso broke free should have been 2 then

Chelsea defended with 9 players and did not deserve to win

No, Chelsea were much better at the start of the match and got their deserved goal. As soon as they were 1-0 up they shut up shop and saw out the game. Ironically exactly what Mourinho tends to do, how I laugh at Mourinho complaining about parking a bus....

This was my view in it as well. Man u just didn't do enough and were lucky to not have conceded another penalty. If the scores had been 0-0 I'm guessing a penalty would have been given.

I have a sneaking suspicion that he was taking the **** ;)

The Young handball? There must have been a decision at the start of the season not to give any pens against Young. He practically bear hugge Salah when we played at OT, laid on the floor and punched to ball away to stop Sterling having a tap in and nearly broke Aguero's leg in the last couple of months and got away with all 3.

Both teams were utterly poor. The difference being we had Phil Jones. Really not looking forward to next season. We have a lot of great players but most of them are either played in the wrong position or have lost complete faith. Martial is a shadow of the player that he was under van gaal.

They weren't that much better - I'm not disputing the penalty but otherwise they barely had a shot on goal through the 90 (official stats say three, one in the first minute which was an easy save with DDG's foot, the pen - I honestly cant think of the third but I don't remember De Gea being tested except the pen)

I really like Martial - but he does have a bad habit of drifting through games , its nigh on impossible to get a consistant performance out of him (don't get me wrong that could be levelled at a lot of the Utd team, but left wing is overloaded with options now Sanchez has arrived so Martial is an "easy" way of getting some more cash for transfers, whether that's right for the future or not)

And Man U wouldn't have done the same thing if they managed to get a goal to protect?

Don’t shoot the messenger, that’s what Jose had to say.

:D

If United had taken their chances (ie. Pogba header) they could have won or at least taken it to extra time, at the top level you have got to take your chances and if you don't then you've got nobody to blame but yourself. Mourinho is pretty good at deflecting attention away from his own team and onto the opposition when he loses. He talked about having no presence up front without Fellaini but I suppose we're supposed to forget that he spent £90m or so on Lukaku and however much money on little Sanchez.

They weren't loads better, but they did something... and by doing something they've earned the right to defend it, just as Mourinho would have done. As Scholes said, that difference was Hazard making something happen - their big player turned up to at least some extent. Unfortunately for you Sanchez and Pogba failed to do so.

Did we watch the same game? A couple of inches and Sanchez would have equalised. He was about the only player that was giving it some.

United are a bit like England in the early to mid 00's. Plenty of good players but all play in the same position. Our defence is dire with unnatural left and right backs and we haven't had a worse center pairing since the 80's. Then you have the problem of trying to squeeze Sanchez, Lukaku, Martial and Rashford into the same position. Martial would be fantastic as an out and out striker but Jose gives him maybe one game to "prove" himself then that's it. His natural ability is in a different league to Lukaku.
