FA CUP FINAL ... Crystal Palace v Manchester United ... Saturday 21st May *** Spoilers ***

What an awful decision! Twice in one game. Clattenburg is having a horrible game.

Three times, even Shearer highlighted it. He blew instantly for the Mata foul despite Palace having the ball and a good chance to run into a dangerous position. Maybe Bolasie does the player with the first touch as Rashford did at the other end and it's a far better position. The player didn't have his leg broken, it was a red card foul, there was absolutely no need to stop the game instantly.

In each case the entire concept of playing the advantage is just to see what happens, it's a get out of jail free card for the ref. Instantly blow and maybe screw the team who were fouled, don't blow and nothing happens, just blow for the foul anyway. Absolutely pathetic refereeing.

Commentary almost as bad, Rooney kicks it 40 yards into the corner... again, but overhit it and went out of play, great pass apparently. Everything Rooney does, great apparently. He's so lethargic on the ball and the only reason he got back to get in Zaha's way was because he screwed up the pass to Blind so badly he immediately got going just in case it went badly. Even then he went in dangerously, missed the ball and was very lucky he didn't catch Zaha and give away the penalty. Offensively he takes ages to make a pass, has fluffed lots of easy passes and slowed almost every attack .

Rashford and Martial look like the only genuinely top players for Utd. Mata getting a yellow for a stupid foul again and being incredibly slow and lame offensively.

Fairly poor first half, especially the ref.

Got to get better in the second half with any luck.

This probably won't be seen very positively here, but I quite like Rooney in the middle as he's played the last few games for United. I don't like the idea of him being up top, behind the striker or on the wing for England but centre mid, no problem for me.

I think he's been decent for Man Utd today, but I think if he didn't have his history you wouldn't be looking at him and going "yup, we need that man in England's midfield".

Depends on who you consider to be his competition for the place? I'd have him deeper than the likes of Ali, but who else do you want in there? Barkley?

For a ball playing midfielder, we don't have anyone better.

I think Rooney's been half decent as well.

I am starting to think Zaha is made of paper though. Slightest contact and over he goes. Odd chap.

Any piece of quality in this game (or luck) will win it. Both teams are doing their best to **** up any opportunity they get.

That's an absolutely shocking challenge from Delaney, Keown is a **** as well been talking garbage the entire game.
