Edit: Watching through the 5th developer diary it does indeed say there is local co-op with 2 players on one Xbox :)

I believe Lionhead are calling it Couch Co-op.
 
I have this preordered. Never played Fable 1, but I love the ideas and the possibilities this game offers.

Saying that, I know bugger all about it so taking a bit of a gamble. I hope I like it!
 
Is it right that there will be no online co-op at launch? Saw this on Giant Bomb,

Microsoft's Gamerscore Blog updated today with information that even though the game has gone gold, Fable II is still being developed, and the ability for online co-operative play won't be in the game at launch.

This seems like an extremely temporary setback, as Microsoft's Sara "DirtyDiva" Nicholson is quick to mention that the update should be available within the first week of the game's launch. The glowing orbs that represent your friends in-game will still show, however, and you'll be able to trade with those players right away.

Still... considering this game seems to have gone gold like 19 times already, isn't it completely insane that the game is shipping in an unfinished state? Or is that just me?

Either way, Fable II will be in stores on October 21.

Not sure if it will effect UK buyers or not, anyway has anyone heard anymore info about this? One of my friends is a bit of a Fable fan and may hold of buying it for a week or so if this is the case.
 
Yeah I read that last night. So Peter's 'Fable 2 is done' speech was a bit premature.

I don't mean to jump on the guy, but when things like this are mentioned about a Molyneux game, I get extremely jittery. Not pre-ordering until the reviews come out.
 
Peter Molyneux just can't keep his trap shut. The fact it's shipping without one of his much-touted features proves again the man is all mouth and no trousers.
 
Same here, although the online co op is deffo something me and a mate were looking forward to trying out
Regardless of this, it's still a day 1 purchase for me :)

Hopefully we will see a review soon!

No, I thought it was awesome. If not a little on the short side, and I also felt the Lost Chapters version of it although great and nice with the expanded scenarios was a little weak.

For example, I was excited at the dragons being added, to find in the end the "dragons" were a let down :p

I managed to keep spoilers to minimum yes?
