There is a flash story on that webpage that if you play through you can get 3 different endings each one gives 2 items so if you have played through them all that chest is where you get the items from, stuff like a chicken suit, dyes and a doll, can't remember the others.
Another question, just been sent off to find the 1st Hero in some town I forget the name of. Can I mess around in this town for a while or is there any sort of tim penalties for not starting the quests already.
So far it has been very scripted in which direction the story is going in, just want to know if I can ignore it for a while and come back to it after I explore etc.

Pretty sure you can, there are time limits on "some" quests I believe.
I played this game for 7 hours solid today and encountered some annoyances. I decided that I should have a virtual kid so I got my wife to follow me to the bedroom but I couldn't get down and dirty! I looked at the manual and it just says take your wife to the bed and press 'A' but when I did this all I got was how long I would like to sleep for.
The second is that one of my quests requires me to make a donation to some religious temple place. There is a ring of light on the floor that I have to enter to make a donation but I have no idea how I go about doing it.

i had the same problem, there's a little trash can in there you put the money in.
apparently you get exp for doing it and the more you put in the more exp you get, think its only certain times of the day though.
yeah i was doing the exact same thing, just standing in the glowing bit.
Just got back from Supermarket with the game. Gonna start now, I love the idea of owning businesses.Such a good game. Maxed out my bartending skill earlier and its a great way to earn money. Managed to buy about 6 market stalls and 5 houses so far, so get a tick of about 350 credits every 5 minutes.
Got myself a wife and kid as well. Then went to a neighbouring village and seduced 3 girls at the same time and had a merry romp in some random house whose door I kicked in. Good times.

so much freedom and great sense of humour which is very refreshing!
Is every one buying houses/businesses in the first town you are in? I have not started the main quest yet and want to earn gold to buy a house. What is the easiest way to make money considering I don't have the Pub Games XBLA thing. I started the blacksmith game but hope there is a quicker way!! I have bout 2000 Gold which buys squat.

Woodcutting in the next village along is prety good, seems easier, its starting about 27g/stack but its only 1 hit per log, but multipliers only come in every 10 logs.
So far on about 6,000 gold, after buying a 2500 gold sword.
I'm struggling to find a book to allow me to elarn how to propose to the farmers wife!
