IMPORTANT CHANGES TO OUR POLICIES |
• | A Facebook account is no longer required to use Meta VR devices. Instead, you’ll need to set up a Meta account, which lets you log into your VR devices and view and manage your purchased apps in one place. You can set up a Meta account using your email address or Facebook account, and as part of the process we’ll migrate your existing VR information (including apps, achievements, and friends) to this account. |
| ◦ | If you have previously merged your Oculus account with your Facebook account, you are required to create a Meta account in order to login. |
| ◦ | If you have not merged your Oculus account with your Facebook account and don’t want to set up a Meta account right now, you can continue using your Oculus account until January 1, 2023. After this date a Meta account will be required to continue using your Meta VR devices. |
• | Note that if you are currently using App Ads, you’ll need to set up your Meta account using your Facebook account in order to continue creating and publishing ads. All developers using App Ads must have their Meta account and Facebook account added to the same Accounts Center. |

• | Meta account: We’re updating our Supplemental Terms of Service and Supplemental Privacy Policy to provide information about Meta accounts, what information we collect, and how we use and share it when you log into Meta VR products with a Meta account. |
• | More details about Meta VR products and features: We provide additional information about certain Meta VR products and features, including what information we collect to power them, how we use that information and with whom we share it, depending on your settings. We’ve also added additional examples and links throughout these agreements to provide more clarity about our data practices. |
