facebook and sharing vid's?

hey guys, i'm sue some of you are better than me at this, i have created a group and wanted to post a video that is on you tube, anyone able to give me a little advise? can this be done? i can post one under my name....... i think, but want to do it under the group?

any facebook greats on here?
 
does anyone know if this is possible, i could try posting a link in the description, but i have a few members and don't wanna balls it up!

That's the only way atm i'm afraid.
 
A Link in a note would do the publishing. Also look into your applications under facebook (under the extra ones). I think they have their own version of flash media player now so you can upload videos to that too. Maybe...
 
thanks for the info, i guess they are still doing bits and bobs all the time to the site so maybe oneday, but for now i will try the desciption
 
I can see facebook being ruined to be honest. I look at bebo now and the place is just a mess, getting more and more like myspace. What I liked about facebook was that everything was kept simple. Yes have the videos bit, but all these hotornot, X me, audio playback things... They're just going to clog it all up and irritate the hell out of me.
 
Yeah, especially the things like music player. It's pretty much a blatant copy of myspace, which isn't a good thing. I liked being able to talk to people on it and organise stuff without being played music..

A myspace videos style thing would be good though, as its meant to be a site for allowing you to organise stuff, as well as seeing what happened at previous ones.
 
facebook was good when it was limited to unis/companys, now that everyone can sign up their just going to keep making it more myspace like

get ****** off with people who add you then say "thanks for the add"

Do you know them? I wouldn't expect friends to say stuff like that.
 
yeah it's getting a bit random now

so do you reckon if i post a utube link (not sure how yet) as a wall post it will play?
 
Isn't there a new video player application? Go to applications then "browse more applications" and there is a video one.

"Facebook Video enables you to publish personal video and tag your friends on Facebook by uploading files, sending video from your mobile, and recording directly from your webcam. You can even send video messages to your friends!"

You can then add it to your page. There are loads of annoying applications now which can clog up pages but the good thing is that you can hide them if you want :) I quite enjoy the iLike music challenge though.
