Looks like i am fine then since i don't use either if them.

I thought that these were new proposals (yet to be published) to help law enforcement and intelligence agencies monitor suspicious activities.
Why do they try and cover up everything by smearing it with anti terrorism or CP? Why can't they just spend all this money on doing something useful, we have a crippled healthcare system and they want to pile money on some 1984 style malarkey.
I hate it that they all think the Internet is for crime, what a load of nonsense. This is not going to do anything, the real criminals use darknets that are encrypted as hell.

Not hard to monitor Twitter - its public! Facebook a little more tricky if people understand the privacy settings.
Now if the Government is proposing to monitor protected twitter accounts or private Facebook posts then we have a serious issue here.
Fix the ****ing economy, stop dicking around with the NHS and stop using crappy excuses like Terrorism and Child Poronigraphy to imposes censorship & monitoring of the Internet.
Do IQs suddenly drop when you get into power or something?

I know. That's why I said the line about monitoring protected tweets.
No she's not, you don't have to be a genius to work out that they are not protesting about capitalism in the first place. They are protesting about the world financial crisis that the banks had a big role in.
They always have been, along with massive inequality between the rich and the poor. Just watch that documentary on Poor America, you can understand why some are so upset. They are not protesting about capitalism at all, I wish people would understand that.
Not to sound like I'm advocating facism or invasion of privacy, but surely if you have nothing illegal to hide, you wont have to worry? Surely they'll gather so much useless and irelevant info on so many people that they'll only focus on potential terrorist activity or other criminal info?
